ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

From: Ian McIver, June 2001

The Style 1 2/4 Wurlitzer at the Melba Theatre, Melbourne (Op. 150) had an exhaust tubular pneumatic pipe chest similar to those used by Wurlitzer in photoplayers.

That chest still exists, together with three of the pipe ranks (including a wooden string - again, not very common other than on photoplayers).

The organ chamber is believed to have been adjacent to the (piano) console. The console no longer exists.

Nothing more of the organ is believed to have survived.
