Opus 1222, a Style D originally shipped and installed in the
Majestic Theatre in East St. Louis IL. Norm Kramer relinquished the organ
to the local ATOS chapter. They refurbished it and were installing it in
the Kingsland Theatre in St. Louis MO. The theatre changed hands and the
organ had to be spirited it out in a matter of days. So in 1982, the new
Fox Theatre management in St. Louis (that's right, the one with the 4/36 Fox
Special in it) gave us permission to install this organ in the lobby
chambers.
After years of trials and tribulations, the organ was at last ready to play
in 1992. So Opus 1222 is in the lobby of the Fox Theatre in St. Louis MO.
It has been electrified with a Peterson relay. It was shipped with 8 ranks
(orchestral oboe, clarinet and marimba added to the Style D). We have added
a two rank string celeste, a brass trumpet and a harp instead of the
chrysoglott.
The 4/36 Wurlitzer is still going but it is used very little, unfortunately.

The St. Louis Fox Lobby Moller was removed in the '40s.
It was never played for shows due to union problems. (It had a player and the union wanted to use a real organist.)
It was installed in the First Baptist Church of Mount Vernon IL. It is still there but only remnants.
Wicks redid it in the early '90s I think.
One of the Wicks' tuners told me he has serviced it there. It has a placque on the console saying it was from the Fox.
