ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

From: Terry Kleven, February 2010

It was moved to the church in 1941 directly from radio station WJJD Chicago.

While installed in this church, it went through 2 different fires. You can see from the pictures that the pipes got pretty well smoke damaged but, it still played quite well.

The organ was eventually sold to Jim Glass and Steve Souvigny when it was broken up for parts.

The organ was 11 ranks:
Main (7 ranks): 10" pressure Tibia Clausa, Dulciana, Open Diapason, VDO, VDO Celeste, Clarinet, Concert Flute.
Solo Chamber had Kinura, Solo Tibia (replaced with a non Wurlitzer Post Horn at WJJD), Tuba Horn, Vox Humana.
It had the normal traps and percussions with the addition of a Vibraphone when it was installed in WJJD radio.

It looked bad but played quite well during my college days.
