ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
From: Dave Knight, September 2010
I recently was given a Wurlitzer Style D pipe organ and in prepping the instrument for restoration I found a
shipment tag with the compatible wiring schedule 500 and on the for line it said Webbs Studio Pitts, Pa.
I was told by the man who gave me the organ that his grandfather had gotten it while working for an organ firm and
had plans to install it in his Mt Lebanon, Pa home. Unfortunately the gentleman passed away before he was able to install the organ.
The grandson was 56 and said that his grandfather had the organ for years before he was born.
Upon unpacking pipes from the crates the smaller pipes were wrapped in newspapers that had a date from 1941.
That is my guess on when the organ was removed from it's installation and placed into storage.
The organ is mostly complete with the only parts that are missing being the blower, bench and chrysoglott.
The organ is in need of a complete restoration in my residence which is located in Monongahela, Pa 15063.
