- MTOS 16th anniversary celebration. Dwight Thomas played
a few selections for us in a cameo appearance. The second part of
the program was Norman Arnold narrating the events leading to the
creation of the wonderful instrument we have today, and illustrated his
presentation using
the Forker Wurlitzer's reproduction ability to play selections from prior artists
who have performed here.

- WEDU-TV (PBS) was present to tape interviews with Dwight Thomas from
the Roaring 20's Pipes and Pizza in Ellenton, FL, and with Rosa Rio of
the historic Tampa Theater. Then, we were treated to an hour-long
program by Bill Vlasak, also of the Roaring 20's Pipes and Pizza; this
was a chance for everyone to enjoy the new player system added to the
church's Steinway Grand Piano which links it electronically to the
keyboard of the Forker Wurlitzer. The new combination is
wonderful!
