Anatomy of a WurliTzer Theatre Pipe Organ
CONSOLE - HORSESHOE
This is looking at the underside of the horseshoe.
The cable to the stoptabs runs in a channel in the underside of the horseshoe.
When adding two tabs at each end of the stop rail the cable channel needed to be
extended. This was reasonably straight forward using a router against a guide cut to
the curve of the horseshoe.
The original sloping section of the channel where the cable ran out to the bottom of the assembly
was filled by routing out a channel to the edge of the board and inserting a piece of timber.
A new run-out channel was cut at the end of the extension to the main channel.
