ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
From: Thomas Klose, Feb. 2000
The instrument (opus no. 1254, style E) was shipped January 21, 1926 to
the Skandia Theater in Stockholm.
When the theatre was refurbished in the mid
1960's the organ was dismantled and partially stored in the Town Hall and in the
headquarters of the Tobacco Monopole.
Meanwhile too many parts of the organ
suffered from long term storage so that it can hardly be expected to see this
instrument being installed again.
My Danish contact received information on this
instrument through the Swedish Film Industry in Stockholm. They also reported
they had in mind to reconstruct the Skandia Theater to its original condition of
1923 and were looking out for another Wurlitzer organ... when I got this info
nearly ten years ago and further news was not forwarded since.
