A friend is doing some research and is looking for information on a pipe organ installed in the Miami FLA News Tower. It is now called the Freedom Tower and is located at the Port of Miami (Biscayne Bovd and NESixth St).
During the 30's, radio Station WIOD broadcast organ recitals from the tower. Apparently the organ was installed in a ballroom and some folks remember the console as being "sea green" and horseshoe style; not surehow many manuals. There are plans for the building but no mention is made of an organ or organ chambers.
WIOD Radio had a 2 manual 7 rank Wurlitzer - Opus 1466 - Style E divided.
The organ was installed in the Flagler Theatre in Miami in 1926. It was moved to WIOD radio in 1934.
