As a student at West Hempstead High School on Long Island, I recall that
a 2 manual Wurlitzer theatre organ was donated to and installed in our
auditorium about 1969. The organ's pipes were not protect from grubby
hands, and in the course of a few short years enough treble pipes were
missing to make the organ useless.
I suspect it was given away (for parts?) about 1975-1980.
