ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

From: Terry Hochmuth and Dan Stankey, November 1997

We used to have a wonderful 3 manual Wurlitzer installedin our home - it was originally a 3/14 (Oriental Theatre, Mattapan Square (Boston), MA) which was tastefully augmented to its final size of 22 ranks. This was NOT done by adding more of what it already had, but rather by the thoughtful choice of sensible, musically artistic additions (masterminded, thankfully, by Lyn Larsen). It was an extremely successful instrument and was recorded by Ron Rhode (who now owns the instrument) on his CD entitled "Butterflies in the Rain".

We hated to part with the organ, but due to our desire to "downsize" as well as my suffering an extremely major burn injury in 1995, we had no choice. We cherish the time that we did have the instrument in our home and for our use.
