ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

From: Dwight Thomas, June 1999

I have updated information on the Opus 2164 (original Oakland, CA Publix#1) since its stay at the Melody Inn Restaurant. This instrument went on to be the nucleus for the Paramount Music Palace, Indianapolis restaurant's 4/42 Wurlitzer in 1979. Extremely detailed information can be found in the March 1979 (Vol.17, No.3) edition of "THE CONSOLE" magazine.

The Paramount closed in January, 1995 and the organ was sent to Kenny Crome's shop in Reno, NV. It has been completely rebuilt and recently bought by Bill and Barbara Dickerson of Sarasota, FL to be installed in a new restaurant in Ellenton, FL. Opening of the restaurant is scheduled for September 1999.
