WurliTzer Opus List - WS

The WS number is the WIRING SCHEDULE identification of a particular instrument.

Wurlitzer used numbers starting from 500 to identify the wiring diagrams for their instruments. There was a WS for each of the standard styles and special WSs were created for each special order or variant to the standard styles. Not all WSs that were designed were actually built.

The WS number was written on each stop switch in the relay of each instrument providing a way to identify those instruments that still have their original relays. Although many instruments may have been built to one WS there were many specials that had unique numbers which enable positive identification of those instruments. The OPUS number was rarely found on an instrument.

The first 200 intruments had the job number and style stamped on the low C of each rank of metal pipes.
