Your Webmeister received an Email tonight from a young man who I met this summer, Chris Pheiffer. He was telling me that he had found the web site, and was showing it to some people at his school. Apparently one of his teachers was a bit skeptical that he had actually been there. Well, lets get one thing straight right now: I can certainly understand that. It's quite a fantastic place, even more so when you are actually there, and it would be hard to believe that someone his age was involved in it. But it's true. Chris was there for a couple of weeks this August with his father, Chuck Pheiffer. Chuck is one of the few people around these days with the knowledge and skills to rebuild, repair, and maintain a wide variety of rare and expensive band organs and other mechanical reproducing instruments. So when the time came to move the owner's large collection to the new house, it was Chuck who got the call. He brought Chris along to help with the work. Chris also did a few things with the Theatre Organ when extra hands were needed. I've uploaded some thumbnailed pictures for any of you who still remain skeptical.
