BEST WISHES FOR CHRISTMAS
AND THE NEW YEAR
Thought that I would add some Summer colour rather than the traditional Festive Season scene. It's cold enough out there as it is and looks like being a long cold Winter.
All these photos were taken at small but very pretty Craighard Gardens on the Isle Of Bute just off the west coast from Glasgow.
The name Craighard comes from two Scottish Gaidhlig words 'Craig' = Rock or Rocky and 'Ard' = High or Height. Therefore in this case the name refers to the high rocky area in which the village was originally built. The final photos is taken from Craighard village and you see the ferry approaching from Wemess Bay on the mainland to Rothesay on The Isle Of Bute. Craighard Gardens is run by the Bute Council and is open free to the general public. The download may take a little while if you are not on broadband but hope that you enjoy the colours.
Slainte Mhath.
Bill.
