I had a great holiday in Portland Oregon and up into Washington and came back with a large collection of pictures covering numerous subjects. The scenery is fantastic and the coastal scenes magnificent. We covered 800 miles over the week. However, we came across a large Classic Car display in the town of Westport, Washington, where I got my first glimps of the Pacific Ocean. Those of you who enjoy Classic car shows should find this collection of some interest. I only knew a few of the car makes and many didn't have a brand name on then. Some of you may know what they are. But they all looked quite colourful and spectacular in the bright sunny weather.

We stayed overnight in the town of Aberdeen, Washington, which was interesting. However, the only thing in common with our own home city is that it has a river flowing through it, into the sea and has hills on both sides. The town is a little
run down but shows considerable wealth in the suburbs, Lumber is their main industry. Other towns with Scottish names we passed through were, Newport, Dundee and Kelso.

I shall be in 'our' Aiberdein as from Tuesday (1st of August) as I am attending a cousin's wedding out at Peterculter and will stay in Aberdeen for a week or so. Hope you enjoy these photos. Perhaps some of us will pass each other over the way!
