The old G.N.S.R booking office and stairway from Guild Street. This part of the building
was boarded over for many years and virtually forgotten. I remember it being in regular
use. The entrance and booking hall was very nice with woodwork as seen in the platform
entrance door in this photo. This corner of the station is being preserved and may be part
of the Deeside railway group's future plans, which could include the north end turntable.

Not much improvement on the visual scene as when the railway was complete!
The ex Up Main line is slewed to form the Up Goods reception. The signal box was in
the cut-out on the left by the old rails. The entrance and exit lines to the depot were on
the right just beyond the cutting, New buildings can be seen in the depot complex.
The goods yard is now an industrial estate. There was a crossover at this point
(up main to down main) with shunt signals on both lines to allow movements too
and from the depot, yard or station.
