A National Express HST 43302 stands at Aberdeen station. It wasn't
running at the time

First 170403 waits to depart on the 11am to Glasgow Queen Street.
Behind is the massive rebuilding going on at the
Ex Guild Street Goods yard and depot, which will be called Union Square,
consisting of a 10 screen cinema,
a massive Hotel and dozens of shops

The station throught has been reduced greatly over the years and
now with the goods line in and out of Guild Street Goods
fenced off the trackwork is even less

A wide Angle view gives a greater perspective on the size of this
building site. In the background is the skeleton
of the new Hotel where the old bus depot used to stand

Aberdeen Station during a quiet moment. Within 5 minutes of
departure the Glasgow train was well filled with passengers
and remained so all the way to Glasgow

This was the entrance to Guild Street Goods yard, not too long
ago filled with sidings and railway buildings.
Goods trains have been moved to new sidings at Craiginches, which includes a
freightliner siding.

Stirling Station: A 170 unit leaves the station towards Edinburgh or Glasgow in an
almost steam day railway scene
A large housing estate is being built on the old Up Sidings. In
the distance is the William Wallace Monumont

158726 is parked in the Up Bay, below the new footbridge that
will connect
the housing estate to the road on the south side of the station
