THREE BATHS THAT REALLY WORK

D 2.                       6 Minutes
Wash.                  see note.

Bleach/Fix.
10 Minutes.
Wash.                  See note.

If the chemical reversal bath is used, as I know some members dislike the exposure to light method, the film should be rinsed for a minute before the Colour developer. If the Bleach/Fix bath is substituted by the conventional separate Bleach and Fixer baths then a Stop bath must be used following both developers.

Following tests after writing the above advise Filtration Of the ‘solutions “PARTICULARLY - the BLIX. At one stage I had tiny specs of dust-like clusters or almost the length of the film it Was NOT dust as the film was perfectly smooth both sides. Soaking didn’t move it, even with gentle rubbing. Then I found a fine scum-like deposit in the BLIX. After extensive filtration, followed by a long soak in the same BLIX, the film cleared.. Obviously minute particles of one of the ingredients had decided not to go completely into solution. A further tip. The D1used in this formula will have a cloudy deposit after standing. So shake well before pouring into tank. It has no adverse effect.

I must point out, in fairness, that this formula, and the procedure entailed has

worked Out specifically with Konica film. Fuji, at the time of my tests, didn’t appear to be available anywhere.

==============================

As Ron explained, he sent me some samples of Konicachrome as processed in this kit. This proved very well processed and Ron is to be congratulated on bringing a 3 bath and Chemical reversal formula so quickly Since then ~ton has sent me a sample of Fuji 3 bath processed and this too appears to have come off well As Ron says, YOU must experiment first with your own working methods to sort out any variations you may need to make, The Committee members at Worcester all agreed that the film was well processed.

Ron will be pleased to give further advice. Please let us know how you get on, Your experience and comments will be most welcome.
