PROCESSING PITFALLS
TECHNICAL COMMENT UPDATE
IN CONVERSATION Pt. 2

EDITORIAL
Our thanks go to Tony Chuter for the excellent
work he put into processing close on 300 slides in the CRC Formulae, to send
one to each CRC member, so each may have an `original` sample of the quality
we can expect. They arrived too late to be in the N/L but the article has
been run-up on the duplicator and enclosed as an `extra`, with the slide
attached, We hope that you will be encouraged to try the formula, be it your
first go at W&M, or getting back to it after having given up after previous
disappointments.
As you will read, I have now corrected the processing problem
that troubled me. It would have been easy to have given up, but I was determined
to make amends, which I have done, with the help of other CRC members.
Kevin Craske reports on the publication of the CRC Processing
Kit, which tests have proved, gives excellent results. While aimed at none
W&M`s, being based on the Club`s formula, those thinking of taking up
W&M (again!) could try the kit and see what results to expect.
This is an independent project and all enquiries should
go to Kevin at T.F.M.
The Annual A.G.M. & Open Meeting has been booked for
Sun. 14th May 1990. At the Didcot venue. Although successful it is marred
by low attendance. Why not consider a `Long-Weekend`! Didcot is surrounded
by interesting photographic possibilities, including the "Steam Centre",
the excellent "Pendon Musium" and many picturesque villages and towns along
the Thames valley. Close by is the Vale of the White Horse where Pendon has
based many of it`s fine `model` buildings, set in the 1930`s. Please give
it a thought, you will double your enjoyment and swell our numbers at the
meeting.
I would be pleased to hear from anyone able to give a slide
presentation or Printe, or perhaps you might have a talk and demonstration.
Time is marching on so please don`t leave it till the last moment. I would
appreciate knowing in advance so as to make up a working programme.
With the excellent summer I am sure many of you have processed
some very colourful slides. Whether processed in a commercial kit, the CRC
Formula or one of the other brews, your work would be most welcome to see.
Please give me a phone call or drop a line and make this year`s A.G.M. the
best ever.
We hope that you have had a very nice Christmas and wish
you all well in the first year of a new decade. |
