There has been an excellent response to the adverts in the
Photographic Magazines for the C.RC. E6 Processing Kit which has resulted
in a substantial number of new members. We would like to welcome all the
new members and hope that they enjoy their membership. - E8! - I have just heard for the first time, that Kodak have produced an E8 formula and "film"!! At the moment it is not known if these are compatible with the E6/7 films. It seems that the E8 chemicals use less `toxic` chemicals than some of the present ones and may be no more than getting on the `green` band-wagon. However if this is a completely new formula & film, then the C.R.C. will be in for another change, just when we have mastered the E6/7 process. However I am sure our technical `chappies` will rise to the challenge. 3M (Situation)
You will have heard that there is a change in how the Club
gets it`s film from 3M. Our 3M contact we had has been promoted and his
replacement has brought new ideas. One is that the Club must purchase cassettes
of film in packs of 50. This means the possibility of our Secretary, Ron
Croad, having to stock cassettes of film rather than simply order the number
required at that time which meant you receiving factory fresh film every
time. A.G.M. & Meeting I conclude by mentioning that the above meeting is only weeks away and there is still room for more Prints & Slide Presentations. Full details appear on page 13. I hope that you will make the effort to come along. New members, please introduce yourselves. here`s hoping for a repeat of last Summer and that you have great processing results. |
