Recorded Using the Paramount Organ Works (POW) 3/32 and
Hauptwerk 4.00
I have been gradually attempting to balance, voice, and
scale the POW 3/32 for Ruby's audio complement and acoustic setting. There
remains a lot of work to do, however, music is being made! Naturally,
it would all sound a LOT better if there were at least 24 bits samples for
the tremmed ranks, strings, and colour reeds,
but..........................that is another story!
This arrangement of Little Girl Blue was recorded by Iain
McGlinchey at his home in Scotland. Iain then made his MIDI track for this gorgeous
arrangement of Little Girl Blue publicly available (without second touch).
He also published a direct-to-disk recording of this performance - the
so-called 'virtual, virtual' recording (i.e. no acoustic output recorded). I
changed my preferred ambience system settings in an attempt to come closer
to that which Iain chose for his 'virtual, virtual' presentation. Here it is
as recorded acoustically on 'Ruby' in my crypt.
Little
Girl Blue
Even with my preference for a more studio type setting, it
comes quite close.
