Tony and his gorgeous wife, Noella, took a couple of days of "no deadline" R&R with George and I here on Australia's Sunshine Coast, before setting off for a few more days on the Gold Coast away from aircraft, concerts, and tight schedules, etc. Tony spent some time with my VTPO and recorded a few tracks to Logic (MIDI recorder software) which he generously offered for this website.

It was re-assuring to see my friend of 40 years looking so well, after his near death experience late last year. Tony's playing seems to have been reborn and refreshed when compared to his pre hospital days. Maybe this is because he no longer has to play through pain and discomfort any more?

Tony has a deft touch, where those most important spaces  between notes are valued nearly as highly as the notes themselves. Couple that with his exquisite phrasing, ability to spontaneously change interpretations, and most importantly Tony's unmatched sense of musicality ensures that he continues to remain in that august group of his peers at the very top of the theatre organ performance art form. A spot that he has occupied now, for nearly 50 years!

It is also little wonder that Roland are experiencing record sales of their Atelier keyboards with Tony Fenelon as  their major global Atelier artist.
