Chapter meeting and special presentation by Norman Arnold and Chuck Pierson.  Norman set up the WurliTzer to play some of best music from recent concerts while Chuck furnished illustrations using a PowerPoint show.  It was great fun. This was followed by open console on the Forker  WurliTzer.

Annual meeting, then a program that our "Directors Present."  Chuck Pierson presented a group that demonstrated how the Forker organ was incorporated into the church's Sunday services.  John Fischer played several selections on the Forker  WurliTzer.  Norman Arnold played accompaniment on the Forker to a piece he played on the piano using its auto-play feature.  John Hegener finished with several pieces he played on the Forker  WurliTzer.

Jim Riggs in concert, featured some phantom duets using Ampico reproducing arrangements with the piano and organ.
Wednesday, December 10, 2008   
Ken Double played for the opening night of the Festival of Lights (December 10-28, 2008) at Grace Baptist Church.  The concert was recorded and will be replayed throughout the season of the lights.  The 350,000 lights are controlled by Christmas music on a 20-minute program, repeating through the evening, beginning about 7:00pm each evening.  These are the lights and animation created by Chuck Pierson and displayed at his home for the past several years.  This year, he donated them to the church, where they will be displayed hereafter.

WEDU-TV (PBS) was present to tape interviews with Dwight Thomas from the Roaring 20's Pipes and Pizza in Ellenton, FL, and with Rosa Rio of the historic Tampa Theater.  Then, we were treated to an hour-long program by Bill Vlasak, also of the Roaring 20's Pipes and Pizza; this was a chance for everyone to enjoy the new player system added to the church's Steinway Grand Piano which links it electronically to the keyboard of the Forker  WurliTzer.  The new combination is wonderful!
