The 1923 Organ Chamber Layout |
(Window detail from Statler Hotel facade)
The organ was actually installed in space that was adjacent to the main ballroom. The organ was housed in two chambers which were converted "guest rooms" on the second floor. The chambers were side by side and spoke down a tone chute into the ballroom. This differed from its sister organ in the dining room; which had essentially more free tonal egress, being the chambers were almost adjacent to the room which it was to serve.
