An April broadcast of American Public Media’s PIPEDREAMS will feature (primarily) performances and banter from the February 2009 PIPEDREAMS LIVE! event at the Rochester Auditorium Theater.
The program is distributed to stations from broadcast during the week of April 5-11, and generally is aired during the weekend (consult local stations for specific times). Many stations, unfortunately, broadcast only the first hour of the two-hour program, but both hours are (or will be) individually available online.

Audio for the program will be posted on the PIPEDREAMS website by midday of April 5, and will remain there indefinitely, accessible 24/7:

In February 2009, the Eastman-Rochester Organ Initiative (EROI), the Rochester Chapter of the American Guild of Organists, the Rochester Theatre Organ Society and public radio station WXXI-91.5FM collaborated in a three-day organ orgy with Pipedreams host Michael Barone. Capacity audiences attended events at the Rochester Auditorium Theatre, with its 1928 Mighty Wurlitzer (r. 2/15/09), and at Sacred Heart Cathedral (r. 2/13/09) and Christ Church Episcopal (r. 2/14/09), featuring two recent installations (one by Paul Fritts and the other a collaborative effort, the GoART Casparini Project organ, both completed in 2008). A prior broadcast (#0942) was derived primarily from the Friday and Saturday night church concerts, and though we return to those venues here, briefly, our main focus here is on theatre organ music from the Rochester Auditorium. Additional performances from that venue, by David Peckham, Jonathan Ortloff and Allan Ward, are available in CD format, too.
