The
Chicago Area Theatre Organ Enthusiasts, Inc. is a not for profit Organization
dedicated to the preservation of theatre pipe organs and Promotion of organ
events to showcase theatre pipe organ for the General public. Although
an independent organization it activelysupports
the goals of organizations such as the American Theatre Organ and the Organ
Historical Societies.
Wurlitzer
Opus 942 was originally installed inthe
Indiana Theatre in Indiana Harbor, Indiana in 1924. It was relocated by
CATOE and is nowplaying
in the Tivoli Theatre in Downers Grove,Illlinois.
The organ is owned by CATOE and maintained by CATOE member Gary Rickert.
