Anatomy of a WurliTzer Theatre Pipe Organ

Looking at a Manual Chest style action, laying on its side, looking from the bottom side.
This is actually for the 8' Flute Offset Chest. It is the same design as the Manual/Main Chests, just the spacing is greater which makes it easier to see.

The Secondary Pneumatic moves the Pallet by pushing the metal arm attached to the pallet.

The Secondary Pneumatic is connected to the valves, on the bottom board, through the hole in the side wall behind the pneumatic.

Alongside the exhause hole can be seen a threaded brass insert which is screwed into the chest and holds the metal thread screws that hold the Bottom Board on. These allow the bottom board to be removed for service without the probability of the screw stripping in the wood when it is reinserted.
