Anatomy of a WurliTzer Theatre Pipe Organ

CONSOLE - HORSESHOE

This is looking at the underside of the horseshoe, upside down.

Here can be seen the "OFF" preset pneumatics. These inflate, when required, and pull the back end of the stop tab arm, via the woven cloth tapes, to move the stop tab to the OFF, or up, position.

The small wooden plates on each pneumatic hold the tape in place and allow its length to be adjusted.

The stop tab wiring cable can be seen in the channel in front of the pneumatics. The wires run through a hole in the horseshoe for each tab to the contact block on the top side.
