Anatomy of a WurliTzer Theatre Pipe Organ

CONSOLE - TABS

This shows the cross-section of the upper and lower sections of the horseshoe.

Nothing holds the top section up except the "C" springs on each tab, and the back of the metal dividers at the end of each division of tabs. It is held down by long screws which are recessed into the top rail and go down into the base.

The moulded wooden filler strip to cover the space at the end of the horseshoe is not yet installed.

The tab out of alignment is only temporary. It is actually the 16 Bourdon tab which was on the Accomp which was replaced by the Picc 2 tab from the Solo when the Accomp stop was rewired. The Bourdon tab was put in the Solo to fill up the space until another Picc 2 tab could be found.
