Manual Chest.
The rank names are stamped into bottom of the end board of the manual
chest at the "C" end, in this case the FLUTE.
The "20" identifies the position on the chest, this being the 2nd
rank from the front and the "0" after the "2" signifying the
"C" side. "02" identifies the "C#" side. These numbers also appear on the
bottom boards to indicate which goes where.
These markings are hidden by the support frame when the chest is
in its normal operating position.
