Anatomy of a WurliTzer Theatre Pipe Organ
Tools
The more tools you have in your workshop the better, generally.
Having, and using correctly, the right tool for any job will usually make the job easier, quicker,
safer and produce a better result.
In the real world it is not practical to always have all the tools that it would be nice to have,
due to money and space restrictions, so some compromises will have to be made when the amount of
use any tool will get cannot justify the costs and there are alternatives that will work as well.
If time is not a real cost then the extra time required to use the alternative methods may not
justify the real cost of a tool that may have limited use, if the result is the same.
A pipe organ is generally mechanically simple and most of the rebuilding process can be done
with a relatively small number of the most basic tools. A few specialised tools can help.
