| Can you Identify this Hammond played by Robin Richmond? The picture of Robin Richmond is of a UK modified Hammond done
by the then UK importers Boosey and Hawkes these were sold as
"La-Fleur" so as not to lower the tone of Hammond in the classic
market at the time! --- Thanks to-micky1@home.net

Ed Wood, 1994
Starring: Johnny Depp. A party scene features Korla Pandit, of all people, playing the
Hammond, just like he did on TV in the fifties, when the film was set.

Then, these shots are by John Ledwon of an A and a BC console-notice
the lone white drawbar on the far right side above the stop/run switches.
This controlled mixing of the two tone generators.
Photos of a friends A model Hammond.
This Hammond has a serial number of something in the 800s so it is among the
first thousand Hammonds ever produced.
- A Console, front view Pretty much normal view for an older Hammond. Tags on presets look
to be original. Segmented music rack is somewhat more visible in this picture : (46k)
- A Console Internals rear view showing very little space behind main tone generator and
case end. Note color coded wires to preset panel. All Hammonds had SETTABLE
presets. Most people don't know that they can change them with just a screw
driver.
: (76k)
- A Console, side view note the shortened depth of case, music rack is segmented also : (37k)
Now for MY model B
- BC Console, front/side angle one of two side views, nothing terribly unusual on either picture.
You can see the chorus generator white drawbar in the upper right hand area
of the console.
The white Leslie controlers were bought when the console was finished in a
lighter color. : (48K)
- BC Console, another side angle same thing just more background. Behind the black glass (the glass
extends around 2 1/2 sides of the room) reside 60 neon beer signs!: (35k)
- BC Internals a view showing the chorus generator immediately at the rear of the
case. You can just barely see the terminals of the main generator above the
chorus generator. The unit at the top of the case is a Hammond spring reverb
unit...no longer needed as the room it plays into is extremely live
acoustically. Again a good view of the color coded wires for setting the
presents.
: (72k)
