CALUM KENNEDY

"The Voice Of The Highlands"

1928 - 2006

Calum Kennedy was 'The Voice Of The Highland' and brought many Gaidhlig songs to the general public in a fresh, melodious and foot tapping fashion. To watch Calum holding his audiance in his hand during  twice nightly shows was an experience to watch. He composed many of his own songs.

Sadly Calum died on the 15th of April 2006, aged 77 and will be missed from the Scottish music scene. However, he has left a legacy of fine Scottish tunes that will go on forever.
