Digital Enhancement

  This 1970’s slide on 3M 100 and processed in the 3M Kit was slightly underexposed and had a ‘poor’ processing session and looked rather flat with dull colours and hardly any sky colouring. The top photo had already been cleaned up by removing scratches and filling in where the soft emulsion had left the film base on the right hand side of the ship wall. This was done using the ‘Clone’ brush in the graphics programme. However, just for this demonstration the bottom photo was automatically enhanced in my latest graphics programme. I think you will agree it brightens an otherwise very dull transparency to a very useful picture.
