DON'T THROW THAT TRANSPARENCY AWAY!

Aberdeen Harbour: From a slide that was not very acceptable and had been discarded. After purchasing the Microtec 35mm Film Scanner from Photoworld, I messed about with the brightness and contrast to get an acceptable image and on using one of the special filters, got this rather interesting result.

The filter used was “Hotwax”. The slide also had a lot of sky and water and by ‘Cropping’ the picture finished up with a Cinemascope format. By the wonder of computerisation an otherwise wasted transparency has become useable as a graphic image and a colour print.
