SECRETARY'S NOTES

What a good meeting this years Didcot turned out to be. Over 30 members were present to see some of the best Audio Visual sequences that the C.R.C0 has ever put on show There were amusing scenes from Dr. Neil, a wonderfull nature show by Bert Sanders, some stunning shots of the Lake District in winter by H Telling, and to round the afternoon off, Bill Crumplin showed his Widex stereo spectacular.

Lots of the members had traveled long distances to attend, and it is. very gratifying to find that some members had traveled almost 500 miles to show us their work.

Kevin Craske. (TFM) and Frank Beaumont had items for sale and these went very well. Bill Reid and his family did a great job on all the domestic work, from cleaning the hail before the meeting (and after.) to supplying us. with, food. To those of you who were not with us, don’t forget next year, the hall has already been booked.

John Davis of Konica came along and answered members questions on problems with colour reversal films. For 3O minutes. John stood and answered any thing that was thrown at him in very competant manner. Most of us learnt quite a bit. It is not easy to do that to an audience who. have a fair knowledge of the subject.

The club has been very fortunate to obtain an account with Konica, who are willing to sell us their latest colour film at very low prices. For most of us that will mean that we can recover our subscription in one 30 metre purchase.

The film will be handled by myself, and I would appreciate it if you could send a self addressed label of the stick on variety with your orders. I have just run test roll through the camera and the results are among the best I have had The. film was, developed with two rolls of Ektachrome which cost almost double, and it is very difficult to ‘say which is the better. Needless to say I am very pleased with the results. When projected there is none of the blue colcur bias which many of us objected to with Barfens version of the film. The film incidentaly was rated at I25asa and first developer was my normal. 7 mins instead of the 6 mins, which Konica suggest. If you fancy cutting your costs with a first rate film my address is:-
