There has been a few changes which I think shows that the Club is never really standing still. Bill Wilson has handed’ Over Area 18 to Eric Clark which means the Area now comes under the new enlarged 'South Western Counties giving Eric a much’ wider scope from Devon, Cornwall, Somerset, Wiltshire, Hampshire, the. Isle Of Wight and the Channel Isles.  There is no doubt that Eric will give all his members added interest. . . .

Area 9 now comes under new management in the guise of Anthony Green who has taken over from Bob Lewis, quite a task, I hear you say, Indeed, Bob has given excellent Leadership. However, Anthony has got off to a good start and has produced his first local newsletter and so keeping up the continuity and hope of some fresh ideas Having just retired from his office as minister, perhaps he will have some higher contacts to glean words of wisdom. Our best wishes go with Eric and Anthony for’ much success, and Our thanks to, Bill and Bob for’ their past work in these offices.

We have lost the services of Tony Chuter as Publicity Officer due to personal reasons and likewise, Ron Knowles has dropped out from his regular column. We are sorry things have not worked out to their satisfaction but to quote Ron in his final remarks "One cannot have everything as one would like it in this world".

The Didcot meeting and A. G.  M. was a very happy occasion, with some members,, thinking it the best so far, Along with some, fine. A. V. and 3-D presentations there was the welcome visit by the KONICA agent, John Davies who certainly had his work cut out with the numerous questions from members No one more than I has been so surprised by the success of these meetings and I feel so confidant of our next meeting that I have already booked the rooms for Sunday 29th of May 1988. So please take note of this date and give some thought to producing something over the next 12 months to bring along The E. C will will be discussing ways of making some changes to improve the set up so things will run even more smoothly.

I am also proud to say that YOU really didn’t let the Club down for Jim Davies. It proves how lucky we are in having members ‘who will drive a round trip of close on 400 miles just to attend and/or put on a few minutes slide show.

Most Camera Clubs can't get that from their members who in the main live locally. We salute you and assure you that it is most appreciated.

Our Chairman explains the importance of getting subscriptions paid in on time and the need for you to take a more active part in making the club more interesting. That about a ‘Letter To The Editor! page? Start the ball rolling by sending your letters to me at the address on the back page and perhaps we could make a good questions and answer column.

Oliver Barron has been given a ‘Life Membership' and well deserved too. Inside you will see his latest chemical price list, one of the excellent services he has given There is also a processing formula from Area 9's newest member Ron Knowles report on information gleaned from contact with Konica, Fuji, Agfa & 3M and there is an Area news roundup and the Annual report of the A G N and the Club’s Accounts.

Snappy Brewing.
