W&M Corrections...Ron Croad, Modified brew, Oct. 92.N/L No.67.

Ron received an enquiry from Frank White, Area 13, on some of the measures stated in the `modified, brew list (page 13). In particular, the 300ml& 600ml measures for the BLEACH bath!. I should add, that these figures were added by myself, as I only use 600 & 300ml sizes, and worked these out from Ron`s original figures, using my calculator. However I seem to have got the figures wrong.

In regards to the Bleach bath, the original Kodak figures allowed for `local` water variations. Therefore these variations would make little difference to the final bleaching of the film. The difference would probably be in the actual working life of the bleach, and few of us would ever keep our bleach to the stage where signs of `under-bleaching`, became noticeable.

I enclose Ron`s `corrections`, for your interest (with my apologies) and would be pleased to hear from anyone who finds, or notices , any difference! There are so many varying bleach baths in use, and all`work`. The changes are in the Potassium bromide, EDTA FeNa4 (liquid) and Acetic Acid glacial. (300 & 600ml figures).

LOSS OF 3M FILM SALES
What a shame about losing the sale of 3M films (As reported by Ron Croad, in Inter-News, No. 11). This is a
very fine film and will be missed by Club members.
A new 3M representative decided we could only buy 50 cassettes at a time! You would think that,
in these recessionary times, not only would they endevar to keep prices down, but would grab every
sale offered! After all, our sales of 3M film were very good, so at the end of the day, it isn`t
only the customers who looses out!
