EDITORIAL I was sorry to
hear from Laurence Edwards, our technical Adviser, that he was dropping
out of the Club. Laurence has done a great job of helping us all over many
years. I am sure you will join me in giving a really big thank you to
Laurence and Best Wishes for the future. While he is leaving the Club,
Laurence has kindly offered to reply to any serious technical problem WE
may come across. If you do have such a problem please get in touch with
myself, or your Co-ordinator first and we will pass it onto Laurence. Also leaving us,
are Margery and Kevin Maskell (Area – Co-ordinator, which also means
that the Area will become defunct. Members are requested to join Area 3+
and keep up with the latest news. Margery, especially has been a member
and Co-ordinator for more years than we like to think about. She has
attended most of our AGM’s and along with Kevin has put on some really
excellent Print Exhibitions of transparencies on Cibachrome prints. Anyone
who attended when they exhibited their magnificent pictures of wild
animals and scenery from their African Safari’s and around American
National Parks can never forget the high standard of quality and colourful
experience. Once again our thanks and Best Wishes go to Margery and Kevin
for the future. Its been some while since we had an AGM and Open Meeting and I hope that as many of you as possible will make the attempt to come along this year. Bill Broadhurst, in co-ordination with Roy Salmons has finally set this up at the Village Hall in Grappenhall, Warrington on Sunday 23rd of May, starting ‘promptly’ at 12.30pm. A light buffet is provided, for fully paid up members, who advise of their attendance. Fuller information appears inside these pages. The Club really does need YOUR support and via the AGM your views recorded on how the CRC will continue for the future. After the AGM there will be a bring & Buy Stall and demonstrations of equipment and AV Presentations. Please do all you can to come along. |
