EDITORIAL A number of members have been working on mastering the formula based on the 'original' Kodak E6/7 chemicals. Lawrence Edwards, an analytical chemist, has analysed the Kodak E6 chemicals and along with Ron Croad`s experiments, have come up with the formula that comes highly recommended and is enclosed in this N/L as part of the pull-out centre pages which for part of the Club Handbook. All the necessary chemicals are available from Club sales and Ron has worked out the fifteen chemicals and their initial costs. As this arrived as late copy I include it as part of my editorial so that you have the fullest information all together. (Right-hand column). Initially it looks an expensive changeover, but you may already have some of the chemicals and most are made up as percentage solutions making weighing & mixing much simpler and most will last for a number of brews. Having seem samples from most makes of film from Ron, Lawrence and Ron Knowles I must say how 'delicate' the results were and not the sign of a colour cast. I feel that this is a great step forward for weighers & mixers. If you don`t have a copy of the Club Handbook, please ask your Area Leader for one as this will certainly become a very comprehensive source of information, to your advantage.
