EDITORIAL Over
the last couple of months I have been in contact with a number of PAGB
and Photographic Federation "Editors" around the country,
mainly with the view of sharing and exchanging copy from our prospective
"Newsletters". Much of our copy over the years deserves a much
wider audience and this is an ideal way of sharing this knowledge.
Already I have had a number of newsletters and enjoyed reading the views
of others. Some editors have agreed to put me on their mailing list and
I have done likewise. Whenever I come across a piece of copy that I feel
CRC members would be interested in, this will be published with the
respective mention of the author and the Club involved. A copy of the
CRC Newsletter will be sent to each.
If you have had copy published in the CRC Newsletter but don`t
wish to have it used in other publications please let me know, otherwise
copies will be sent to these Editors. The only restrictions are in not
publishing Colour Reversal Processing Formulae, which remains the Club`s
main occupation and PAGB Editors will refer anyone interested in such,
to the CRC Membership Secretary. Next time I hope to be able to publish
a list of Clubs and Societies near you. A
computer disc of past CRC copy has been formatted in the PC/IBM system,
and a copy will be sent to any PAGB Editor who may be interested. Many
PAGB Clubs run "Open"meetings and Exhibitions and details will
be published in the Newsletter. If you wish to know more please write or
phone. MONOCHROME
ENTHUSIASTS
Another
publication I have received recently is from the Friends of Creative
Monochrome. While they mainly advertise recent photographic
publications, with a 10% discount. Their Bi-monthly Newsletter is of a
very high quality, with excellent B&W prints which members may
appreciate on their own merit. Subscription appears to be voluntary, so
you have nothing to loose by writing for your first issue to see what
they are all about. Interested! Write to:- Creative Monochrome, 20. St.
Peters Road, Croydon, Surrey, CR0 1HD. PLEASE
NOTE Don`t
forget Chemical Sales are now handled by Kevin Craske. Ron Croad is
still handling Film sales, for the time being. We shall print a complete
updated Executive Committee and Co-ordinators list once everyone has
settled into their new positions. See latest Chemical price list on page
13. Our thanks to Ron Croad for his many years of excellent service and friendship. |
