SECRETARY' S NOTES

Another A.G.M. has come and gone at Didcot. It was a nice friendly gathering with some very entertaining parts of the proramme. Some members travelled many miles to Didcot and it is puzzling when local members are absent. The Committee is trying hard to find a venue in the North Midlands as a change in order to enable the members who live in the North an opportunity to attend.

Are there eight of you who would like a unique opportunity to take superb photographs. If there is then the Club is considering renting one of the houses at Portmeirion, Wales, for a week. The house has twin and single rooms mostly with bath and shower, a large lounge in which talks and projection of slides can take place, and a kitchen which can also double for processing. The whole thing makes a wonderful set up to tour Snowdonia during the day, process film on wet days or evenings and amuse yourselves with the results in the evenings. At least six of the Club members have been before and will I am sure endorse my view that it makes a super week.

For those unfamiliar with Portmeirion, it is the latin style village built by Sir Clough Williams-Ellis. Every house is a fantasy. The cost for a week is very modest, about œ80 on a self catering basis. Wives welcome. If you would like to take part please contact our Chairman pete Guy on the following numbers:- Day: 0585-652184 or 13. Little moor Road, Ilford, Essex. Ig1 1XZ.
Eve: 081 478 5796.

A few of our members have experimented with keeping developers in the freezer. They have found them perfectly useable after nine months storage. I have seen results from Tony Chuter and they are good. Storage can be in plastic bags. Place the bag in a container, which you remove when the bag is frozen.

The C.R.C. is now affiliated to the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain and can take part in their activities.
