Other Things

Classified

Wanted: A Leslie 251 or 351 tone cabinet in excellent condition (for a Conn 651 theatre organ). Please call Karl Saunders at
740-455-6121 or e-mail at: saunix@ee.net

Also Wanted

Volunteers for the Organ Crew. No specific knowledge or skills required. Some tolerance for heavy dust and tight spaces helpful. OK, we'll settle for a Wurlitzer Salicional and celeste in the basement. Call Mark Williams at (937) 652-1801.

Web Site Update

Mostly repeating from last month: The COTOS web site is undergoing a major facelift to improve its appearance and make it more user friendly. The upgrades will be gradual, so you will see old stuff mixed with the new for some time. New items at this time include a basic search function at the bottom of the home page, and a link below it to a new page with advanced search capability. Also, a modified membership page with a link to another page containing only the membership form for ease of printing. The guestbook was deleted due to lack of activity on that feature.
Recent additions this month are limited to a new page in the Extras section featuring images of glass slides submitted by John Adams. We are planning to put up many more pages of slides in this project. They will be a bit higher in quality also. This will be the result of directly scanning them, as opposed to projecting, photographing, and then scanning the photograph. To see the difference, compare the "Wild Company" slide in the bottom row on the present page. It's the only one at present that has been scanned directly.
The web page address for the glass slide page is:

As Always . . .

We're still open for any contributions for the Stoptab. If you have any concert, album, or book reviews, we'd like to publish them. Also, as you see at the top of the page, we're ready to publish "classifieds," either items for sale or items that you are looking for. It would also be possible to put these on the web site.

COTOS Dues

COTOS dues are now officially overdue. Mark will be sending out "last chance" letters soon. You can send your dues for the year, only $20, to Mark at:

We would still appreciate hearing from anyone who hasn't contacted us with an Email address. It will facilitate informing people in case of last minute event changes or cancellations. Also, we send out notices of recent web site updates. Send your Email to me at: burnsjr@prodigy.net

Coda

We would like to extend our sympathy to Mark and Cindy Williams on the recent death of Cindy's father.
