Wurlitzer Update |
Installation of the heating, cooling, and humidification systems in the chambers is still scheduled for this summer. Our consultant's report has been submitted and was reviewed at the June board meeting. It includes his evaluation of the condition of the organ, proposals for renovation and updates, suggested subcontractors, price estimates, and a proposed time frame. We will soon begin the process of raising funds for this essential work. Copies of the report are available to all COTOS members. They will be available at upcoming meetings. Also, you can write to John Burns at the Stoptab return address, or Email me at burnsjr@prodigy.net. I can send you a copy either by regular mail, or by Email. Please specify which you prefer. |
Mark hopes to begin the installation of a new Z-Tronics Relay this summer. He plans to do most of the installation "in parallel" with the present relay, so that down time for the organ will be minimized when the present Morton relay is removed and the actual switchover takes place. |
