Wurlitzer Update A recent visit to TWHS revealed that work has begun on the heating, cooling, and humidity control systems in both chambers. Though it may seem far removed from the business of maintaining the instrument, it is actually an essential first step. More stable temperature and humidity in the chambers is essential to keep the organ in tune, and preserving the leather and wood of the chests, regulators, and trems. We can then spend more time on rebuilding and improvements rather than repairs. |
