NEW DON BRIDGE ABERDEEN (After Opening)
24th July 2016
There have been
two main road bridges across the River Don in Aberdeen forages
and a need for a forth bridge has been talked about for many decades.
On the 9th of June 2016 a third
road bridge was finally opened between Tillydrone and Balgownie and
with a new section of ring-road in the Berryden area is hoped to
reduce congestion. within the City.

The old Lade (Lead) that was channelled from the river Don at Persely
feeding
three Cloth & Paper Mills. Woodside and Grandholme
cloth works and the
Donside Paper Mills. All are no more. The latter two being housing estates
and
Woodside works completely demolished.

It looks as if the Lade may have been bridged at this point!
