I hope that you all had a very pleasant time over the Festive Season and that you will now be looking forward to the new photographic season with fresh ideas and plans. There is no doubt that Digital Imaging is pushing fast ahead but the humble ‘film’ is still well ahead as far as quality and presentation is concerned. As you will read inside, I now have a nice new computer projector that is brilliant for watching DVD and VCR films but somehow, I find scanned slides don’t quite match up to a real slide show. Possibly this will change too but for the moment you can’t beat a great slide show.
Inside we have a couple of articles on learning about Digital Imaging and the equipment involved. I have also given details of the Digital camera and my first impressions on using it. This ties in with the article on the new Royale computer projector and digital Audio & visual presentation model (page 10). On the centre pages we have samples of the latest CRC Slide Postal Folio, which make for another interesting mixture of slides. On pages 12 & 13 there is a similar mixture of scanned slides from my summer holiday in Chicago. This gives reason for you doing likewise and sending us a nice presentation of your holidays, past or present. |
