EDITORIAL

The Reverend Ronald Hatful

It is with regret that we report the passing of the Reverend Ronald Hatful passed away during the month of.  Ronald was a member of the C.R.C. from its earliest days, joining in August 1976 and over the years shared many interesting article with us in the pages of the Newsletters. He was very active in both Colour reversal and Black & White photography. We really do miss members of the Ronald’s dedication and send our condolences to his family.

Alan Frame Retires

Area One (Scotland) Co-ordinator, Alan Frame has retired due to ill health. The Area is being looked after by Kevin Craske at the moment, but the area will need a replacement Co-ordinator soon. Any member interested please contact myself or Kevin.

Alan has been Co-ordinator for some years now and we are sorry that his health has been poorly and wish him well and all the luck for the future. I am sure everyone will join in our thanks to Alan for all the work he has done for his members and the Club. Get well soon Alan and our kindest regards to yourself and your wife.

C.R.C. Secretary, Position vacant

As you will read in the AGM Report, the Secretary’s position is vacant and John Peale is holding on just for six months (that is from April last). This is a very important position and the Club can’t run without a Secretary, so would ask all members to give serious thought to possibly taking the job on. The future of the C.R.C. is in your hands. Write/Phone/e-mail us as soon as possible, please and help keep the Club going. Otherwise, this could well be the last Newsletter, but one, that you will receive, which would mean an Emergency Committee Meeting having to be called to wind things up. PLEASE HELP TO SAVE THE CLUB NOW, THANK YOU.

CRCN Printing

The delay to the April CRCN was due to a combination of things, albeit, the copy went off in good time. Kevin and I are now using the same DTP Programme, which we had hoped would result in better compatibility and speed Kevin’s printing work, but also it would get rid of those annoying scan lines we get on the text printing. However due to my not understanding the new DTP fully it meant that Kevin couldn’t use the programme file (saved onto a CD) and a lot of re-working was involved, missing Kevin’s free time to carry out the printing and packaging. Hopefully this will work correctly for this issue. We hope that you enjoy the changes and the use of more and more colour pictures.
