EDITORIAL

Once again I have  the sad duty to report the passing of another  long standing member. George Reginald Cornish was an Area 20 member, who lived in Slough (Bucks). Reg was one of those quiet chaps who attended the regular monthly meetings when the late Oliver Barron held them in Oxbridge. He also attended every AGM meeting at Didcot and I heard from him at regular periods. He always had a pleasant word of advice and enjoyed his membership to the C.R.C.

Sadly, Reg passed away on the 4th. of September, but as he lived on his own news was passed on by the kindness of his Solicitors, Barrett & Thompson, who we thank for letting us know. On an even sadder note, Reg`s funeral was attended only by his Solicitor and a niece.

He was in business of some sort, but other than that I know nothing of his personal life, or even how old he was. All I can do is extend my deepest condolences through these pages, in memory of a long and faithful C.R.C. member.
